Tom Elliot
Price range: £600 - £5000
Born in London in 1965 , Tom went on to study painting at Bath College of Further Education and at Bower Ashton College Bristol. He later visited Italy and The Hague Holland to study Renaissance and 17c paintings , and this led to his life-long interest in Art History.
His work has been exhibited widely in the South West and was chosen as the first contemporary painting exhibition to be held at Dyrham Park House in Wiltshire. Tom is a past winner of the Andrew Brownsword Prize and his work has been shown in prestigious galleries in London and at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2006.
Tom’s work is a modern version of traditional still life painting and the textural effects are achieved by incorporating metallic leaf and sand within his paint pallet. This contemporary take on times past give his paintings a strong imaginary effect leaving the voyeur feeling both drawn in to the scene and intrigued by the surreal surroundings.
