Corinna Button RE
Currently based in Chicago, Corinna completed her fine art education at Leeds before going on to post graduate studies in advanced print making in London. She exhibits internationally and has works in various public and private collections including the BBC, the University of Aberstwyth and the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. Corinna is a member of the Royal Society of Painters and Printmakers.
Corinna has a uniqueness and dynamism to her work born from acute observation of life around her. It's allegory draws you in with a gentleness and humour that leaves you smiling with the residue of some kind of shared experience. She says, ‘My work is about peeling back layers to reveal something hidden beneath the surface. I am constantly in search of freshness, spontaneity, immediacy of line, rich textures and layers.’
Following the success of a major exhibition at the Zhou B Art Centre in Chicago, Sergio Gomez the curator and director of exhibitions says, ‘Combined with mastery of execution, Corinna Button conquers our imagination by placing a perennial mirror into our collective human experience.’
